Presentation of the project
NACID is pleased to inform that NACID’s project “Recognition in Balkan region: Improving the area of cooperation and trust. Regional meeting of national ENIC-NARIC centres” has been selected for Community co-financing by the Lifelong Learning Programme, through it’s Invitation addressed to the Network of National Academic Recognition Information centres (NARIC) for the programme period 2012-2013.
The main goal of the project is to address the need of improving cooperation and transparency of recognition on the Balkans. Mutual trust in the quality of HEIs and HE programs in the region and transparent and modern recognition practices are important prerequisites for international and cross-border student and research mobility.
The Regional meeting will take place on 4-5 October 2012 in the town of Kjustendil, Bulgaria with the participation of the partner ENIC-NARIC centres from the region and representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Network of National Information Centres on academic recognition and mobility.
Main goal of the project
The main goal of the project is to address the need of improving cooperation and transparency of recognition on the Balkans. Mutual trust in the quality of HEIs and HE programs in the region and transparent and modern recognition practices are important prerequisites for international and cross-border student and research mobility.
Objective of the project
The objective of the project is: exchange of information about other network partner's HE systems, methods and procedures of recognition; quality assurance, NQFs and correspondence to EQF; sharing information on specific national challenges, problems and obstacles in recognition process and ways for tackling them; as well as discussions on employability of NQFs and the overarching EQF; the European Area of Recognition manual and other tools for academic recognition, discussions on the involvement of ENIC-NARIC centres in the academic recognition and other issues of mutual interest.
Participants
The Regional meeting will take place with the participation of the partner ENIC-NARIC centres from the region and representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Network of National Information Centres on academic recognition and mobility.
Project duration and main timelines
The Project will be completed from 01.06.2012 to 30.11.2012, including:
- Start of the project: 01.06.2012
- Preliminary and actual preparation of the Regional meeting: from 01.06.2012 to 3.10.2012
- The Regional meeting will take place on 4-5 October 2012 in the town of Kjustendil, Bulgaria.
- Follow-up activities: from 6.10.2012 to 30.11.2012
- End of the project: 30.11.2012.
Project team
The Project team consists of experts, working at the Bulgarian ENIC-NARIC centre with expertise and proficiency in the activities as a National centre for academic recognition and mobility as well as in the functions of a Competent recognition authority.
