About the Research Library
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Research Library unifies the activities of the Central Research and Technical Library (CRTL), which was established in 1962, with the largest specialized library in the area of pedagogy, education, and moral upbringing, which was founded by Prof. Ivan Shishmanov back in 1950.
The rich and varied resources of this library fund amount to 1 million library materials. The fund has been organized in separate collections, such as books, dissertations, periodicals, collections of science and research papers from various conferences, reference literature, etc. There is a unique collection of handwritten and old printed books in the area of education, including textbooks, school curricula, methodological and supplementary literature, whereby the earliest editions date back to the beginning of the 19th century.
