Information
Grades are converted in accordance with the Bulgarian grading system when there are differences in the systems for assessing learning outcomes. The conversion is carried out for the purpose of continuing education in higher education institutions.
When the document certifying completion of secondary education in a foreign country school contains subjects with grades, the certificate of recognition of secondary education obtained in a foreign country school shall be used to convert the grades to the grades under Article 9 of eqRegulation No. 11 of 2016, including the subjects specified in the document certifying completion of secondary education, as well as the average grade from the education, if it appears in the diploma. Grades for subjects not included in the document certifying completion of secondary education shall not be included in the certificate.
When the document certifying secondary education completed in a foreign country school does not contain subjects with grades and/or for the purpose of applying to higher education institutions, it is necessary to convert the grades for subjects from additional documents (academic transcript, certificate, appendix, etc.), an official note is issued for their equivalence.
An application for an official note may be submitted to a certificate, issued by NACID, or requested for issuance by NACID for the recognition of secondary education obtained in a foreign country school.
The official note shall include the equivalent grades for the studied subjects and the classes in which they were studied, as specified in the application. Grades for subjects not specified in the application shall not be included in the official note.
